We're a few weeks into summer now and we've been doing our best to dress for the heat and keep ourselves looking good. A few beautiful summer dresses have been helpful in that objective. So we figured we'd share our favorite summer dresses (so far this summer) with you. We took some time to narrow down this list and even consulted a few of our favorite blogs. Here are our five favorite summer dresses: 1. SUBOO Afternoon Aperitif Mini Dress: Not only is this a sunny, yellow and happy dress but the peek-a-boo mesh and the back cut out details elate us. It's such a unique dress and a favorite summer cocktail option from Refinery 29 as well. It's also 100% cotton and hand-washable so it's easy to wear and care for to boot. 2. SEA Aztec Print Dress: Sure, it has long sleeves but that doesn't make this silky frock any less summery and as Stylelist points out, it's a great option for the season. The Aztec-style detail adds a nice touch to the above-the-knee dress. And the base color is white giving it a lighter and more airy feel. We love it for a casual date or maybe a summer féte. 3. Azure Lace Dress from Coldwater Creek: A gorgeous dress that was brought to our attention by our friends at Shecky's features a simple but elegant silhouette as well as a lovely lace overlay that give the dress unique details. It's a great option for a summer wedding -- especially if you dress it up with some cute accessories. 4. Junk Poison Ivy Maxi: First, we really love the floral print over lavendar. As The Zoe Report suggests, this is an easy-to-wear dress that would work at any summer event. It's long but flowy and the cut would complement many figures. This is another one that could work at a summer wedding with some great accessories. 5. Box Dress in Antigua: This print is a bit more complex than some of the others but we love it. A light-weight silk T-shirt dress, Stylecaster says this is a dress that will get you noticed this summer and we absolutely agree. This is a great option for a casual outdoor party or a first date.
