St. Patrick's Day: A Different Kind of Green

Lucky Emerald Green was named the color of 2013 by Pantone, so all the festive green we'll see this St. Patrick's Day will also be quite fashionable. Of course, for us, green is more than just a color we wear -- it's a way of life that includes sustainable fashions, organic looks and -- of course -- eco-friendly sun care. St. Patrick's Day emerald green options include a green scarf, satchel, shoes, pants and a fedora as well as eco-friendly options like makeup and sun care. Since St. Patrick's Day is on a Sunday this year, we're opting for comfort. This pair of green organic sateen chinos from Monkee Gene are fantastic option. Monkee Genes is the first and only jeans label to have unique mix of  accreditations from The Soil Association and the Global Organic Textile Standards (GOTS) . If you'd prefer to don green elsewhere, we suggest these Bolsa Oxfords made by Guatemalan artisans or accessorize with this Philip Lim satchel. How about brushing on a little of that color of the year?  We look for a green-friendly makeup, like Jane Iredale's mineral-based makeups. The emerald PurePressed eyeshadow is a great option for a sweep of green over the eyes - after you've put on your eye cream with an SPF of course. The end result will be a beautiful eye, ala Jada Pinkett Smith's look above. Finally, before we step outside, we'll throw on a bit of fashionable sun protection. We like the mint Girandella Infinity Scarf with UPF 50 from Mott 50 and a lovely green fedora. We're parade ready. What are you doing this St. Patrick's Day?
